Taylor Bennett has been dancing and performing for over 20 years. She began dancing at age four in Ramstein, Germany, and continued her training in Aiken, South Carolina, studying ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, pointe, hip-hop, and contemporary dance. Taylor went on to train with Southeast Ballet Theatre and attend summer intensives at New York University Steinhardt, Indiana University, and the Paul Taylor Summer Intensive. She is an alumna of the College of Charleston, where she earned degrees in Dance and Early Childhood Education and performed, choreographed, and served as President of Dance Alliance.
Taylor has taught and performed throughout the Lowcountry, including with Dance Moves of Charleston and Annex Dance Company, and has held leadership roles in dance education at Camp Ballibay in Pennsylvania. She currently serves as the Dance Educator at Sanders-Clyde Elementary School, where she is passionate about making dance accessible to every child. Taylor believes dance is a powerful tool for building confidence, fostering creativity, and connecting learning through movement and the arts.
